Requirements
- Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or a related field.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a drafting or engineering role.
- Bring advanced AutoCAD 2D and 3D skills; experience creating P&IDs and PFDs is a strong advantage.
- Have strong technical writing skills for tender documents and engineering reports.
- Have advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Have excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Be able to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems.
- Australian WA mining standards or Non-Process Infrastructure experience is a bonus.
- Experience in modular and scalable infrastructure design is a bonus.
- Revit experience and strong Microsoft Teams proficiency are nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Support drafting and development of PFDs and P&IDs for NPI utility systems, including water, fuel, air, and lubrication facilities.
- Use AutoCAD to produce 2D and 3D technical drawings that meet industry and safety standards.
- Support NPI mining projects through PFS, DES, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
- Assist in developing tender packages and construction-ready mining infrastructure documentation.
- Maintain design continuity across project phases and support constructability.
- Execute calculations and organize project data using Microsoft Excel.
- Draft, edit, and format engineering documents and reports using Microsoft Word.
- Track project changes and check that early assumptions align with final engineering outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records in the document control system and support document administration and formatting.
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, WA Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations, and client site standards.
