Requirements

  • 12+ years in trust, estate, or private wealth services.
  • Experience building or running a trust or fiduciary-related business.
  • Experience leading through influence across teams.
  • Experience with directed and delegated trust structures.
  • Experience with trust company relationships and multi-state trust considerations.
  • Strong case design and client-facing skills, including meetings with advisors, clients, and estate attorneys.
  • JD, CTFA, CFP, or CTA preferred.
  • Available during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM; early or late hours may occasionally be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set the multi-year strategy for Trust Services, including service scope, partner model, and capability roadmap.
  • Own Trust Services revenue and budget, and report results and business metrics to senior management.
  • Lead selection, contracting, and ongoing management of independent trust companies, including RFPs and partner transitions.
  • Evaluate trust partners on jurisdictional powers, fees, investment arrangements, technology, and service levels.
  • Design trust solutions for advisor cases and review structures with clients’ estate attorneys.
  • Lead trust meetings with clients and prospects alongside advisors, and train wealth management teams on trust solutions.
  • Define workflows, procedures, and systems for trust intake, partner handoffs, and case management.
  • Serve as the escalation point for partner and client servicing issues.
  • Provide direction and business support to the Trust Operations team and work with Client Service leadership on priorities and execution.
