Job Details

Experience
5+ years of workers' compensation claims handling.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of workers' compensation claims handling experience.
  • Hold an active adjuster license in at least one state, or be eligible to obtain one quickly.
  • Have multi-state claims experience.
  • Write precisely and be comfortable giving blunt feedback to software people.
  • Federal programs experience, including Longshore, Black Lung, or Jones Act, is a plus.
  • Experience at a TPA or in a self-insured employer program is a plus.
  • Experience with claims system migrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution, including lost-time and litigated files.
  • Review and correct AI-generated summaries, chronologies, and risk flags.
  • Define reserve, compensability, medical management, and return-to-work practices for encoding into workflows.
  • Work with customers' adjusters and supervisors during onboarding and program transitions.
  • Document jurisdictional requirements for the product team.
