Bring 5+ years of QA experience focused on test automation as an individual contributor.
Have proven experience building and maintaining Playwright UI and API tests.
Use JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python for test automation.
Use AI-assisted development tools practically for QA work and critically review AI-generated tests.
Have solid API and integration testing experience, including authentication, mocking/stubbing, and debugging across services.
Have practical experience managing test data and automation environments, including isolation, fixtures, and stability in parallel and CI runs.
Have hands-on CI/CD experience running automated tests in pipelines and working with Docker.
Apply testing fundamentals including the test pyramid, risk-based testing, agile practices, and the defect lifecycle.
Have experience with Jira or a similar tool.
Have excellent written and verbal English for distributed collaboration.
Have experience raising quality on long-lived, evolving products, not only greenfield work.

Design, implement, and maintain automated UI, API, and integration tests with Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
Use AI-assisted tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot for test design, refactoring, and failure analysis, validating their output and following data-handling guidelines.
Plan and execute functional, regression, smoke, and critical-path testing against agreed acceptance criteria.
Design and maintain test data approaches, including fixtures, isolation, and environments, to keep automated suites reliable in CI.
Contribute to test layering decisions and align with engineering on scope and maintainability.
Run and maintain automated suites in CI/CD pipelines; improve stability, reporting, and failing-build triage.
Partner with engineering and product in agile ceremonies; document scenarios and defects.
Reduce flaky tests, improve test code structure, and apply the test pyramid and risk-based prioritization.
Test REST and GraphQL APIs, validate contracts and payloads, and verify data with SQL or equivalent when needed.
