Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX or product designer.
- Have owned both UX and UI on shipped work in games or consumer mobile apps.
- Provide a portfolio showing research, player flows, information architecture, wireframes, and polished high-fidelity UI.
- Have shipped mobile-first work and understand tap targets, thumb reach, small screens, and touch interaction.
- Demonstrate strong information architecture skills for organizing complex products into clear, navigable structures.
- Demonstrate visual design skills in layout, hierarchy, typography, iconography, and UI components.
- Use player data, research, and community feedback to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate across product, game design, art, and engineering.
- Work collaborative hours aligned to EST and PST time zones; PST is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own Brookhaven’s UI and UX from a player’s first session onward.
- Audit the current UI and document core player journeys and points of confusion or drop-off.
- Use player data, community feedback, competitive research, and playtesting to identify and prioritize UX problems with the Product Lead.
- Define information hierarchy and player flows.
- Create wireframes, annotated flows, and prototypes for art and engineering.
- Design high-fidelity screens and reusable UI components, partnering with art on visual style.
- Partner with engineering through implementation to ensure shipped work matches design intent.
- Measure UX changes after launch using analytics and iterate based on results.
- Establish UI/UX standards and documentation for consistent feature delivery.
