Job Details

Hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or have equivalent practical experience.
Have 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team.
Have experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS or multi-tenant platforms, ideally on AWS.
Know object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles, with a track record of advocating for code quality.
Have experience with agentic-AI software development practices.
Have experience designing and consuming HTTP APIs, including REST, GraphQL, or similar.
Have experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
Have experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for LLM agents.
Have experience building or operating a multi-tenant gateway or API platform, including tenant isolation, credentials, quotas, and abuse protection.
Have experience integrating with third-party or untrusted endpoints and containing failures.
Have experience propagating authorization and scope across multi-hop service boundaries.
Have experience with persistent-connection or streaming architectures, including session management, recovery, message correlation, and protocol concerns.
Use Node.js/TypeScript, AWS services, OpenAPI, MCP, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals aligned with product and platform direction.
Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and hands-on collaboration.
Build and operate the AWS AgentCore Gateway layer, its target registry, and gateway capabilities.
Develop tenant-isolated configuration, credential handling, allowlisting, egress control, and failure containment for customer MCP servers.
Build inbound MCP and adjacent-protocol surfaces with authentication, scope enforcement, and rate limiting.
Build and operate persistent on-premise connectivity, including session lifecycle, request correlation, and recovery.
Implement authorization and scope propagation across agents, gateways, targets, and backends.
Design and evolve OpenAPI contracts and target runtimes, maintaining contract versioning.
Improve CI/CD, tracing, SLOs, monitoring, observability, reliability, and incident response.
Mentor developers and lead the adoption of responsible AI-assisted development workflows.
