Requirements
- Have strong software engineering experience in backend, platform, infrastructure, or data-intensive environments.
- Understand distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and scalability challenges.
- Have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Have hands-on experience with Kafka, CDC, Debezium, or similar streaming technologies.
- Have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
- Have experience building platforms, internal tooling, automation, CI/CD pipelines, or developer-facing services.
- Be able to work through ambiguity, make architectural decisions, and deliver production-ready solutions.
- Have strong English communication skills.
- Nice to have: experience with DataHub or other data catalog or governance platforms.
- Nice to have: knowledge of Apache Iceberg, data lakes, BigQuery, ClickHouse, or similar analytical platforms.
- Nice to have: experience with data contracts, schema registries, Protobuf, Avro, or JSON Schema.
- Nice to have: knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, GitHub Actions, operators, or controllers.
- Nice to have: experience supporting Analytics, AI/ML, or feature-store ecosystems.
- Nice to have: knowledge of Python, Go, TypeScript, JVM languages, or Ruby.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a next-generation data platform used by engineering teams across the organization.
- Develop data publishing and consumption services based on PostgreSQL, Debezium CDC, Kafka, and DataHub.
- Create GitOps-driven workflows for data contracts, schema governance, ownership, and lifecycle management.
- Build internal tools and automation that improve developer experience and enable self-service data products.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI/ML teams to define and implement data standards.
- Drive platform reliability, observability, lineage, and governance practices.
