Requirements
- Design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in a cloud-based environment.
- Have hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
- Have strong experience with Scala.
- Have solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Write clean, testable, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Assess trade-offs involving scalability, performance, resilience, and cost, and communicate decisions clearly.
- Bring experience or genuine interest in functional programming, data modelling, workflow orchestration, or AI-driven tools.
- Have English proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Have Polish language skills at B2 level or above.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.
- Drive technical decisions for batch and streaming data solutions, balancing scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Explore and integrate data orchestration tools and cloud-native solutions.
- Improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency across the data infrastructure.
- Own data systems from design through deployment and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and intelligence analysts on features and architectures.
- Mentor engineers, conduct peer reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
