Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
- At least 2 years of provider experience in a relevant practice, such as urgent care, occupational medicine, an emergency room or trauma unit, or family medicine, is strongly preferred.
- Experience providing care through a virtual medicine platform is preferred.
- Maintain an active, verifiable license in good standing with the appropriate regulatory agency in the state of practice and state of residence, as required.
- Maintain an active DEA registration in good standing.
- Be able to treat patients of all ages.
- Meet credentialing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual patient care within the virtual scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Complete patient charts accurately and promptly, and forward charts as appropriate each day.
- Follow telehealth policies and procedures established by OMA and supervising physicians.
- Review patient histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications responsibly, and educate patients on ongoing care for acute and chronic conditions.
- Make diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations with attention to patient-centered care, safety, cost, and accurate information.
- Comply with federal and state regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including HIPAA and health information management standards.
- Complete required compliance training and supervising physician meetings in each state where credentialed and practicing.
- Communicate with the team and recommend improvements to patient experience and care.
