Requirements
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS).
- Maintain an active, good-standing license and DEA registration, verifiable with the appropriate regulatory agency in the state of practice and state of residence, as required.
- Be able to treat patients of all ages and meet credentialing requirements.
- Obtain DOT certification within 60 days of employment and maintain it during employment.
- Experience as a provider using a virtual medicine platform is preferred.
- Applicants must be from states other than California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual patient care within the virtual scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Complete patient charts accurately and promptly, and forward charts as appropriate each day.
- Follow telehealth policies and procedures established by OMA and supervising physicians.
- Analyze patient histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications responsibly, and educate patients on care for acute and chronic conditions.
- Make diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations with attention to patient-centered care, safety, cost, and accuracy.
- Complete required compliance training and supervising physician meetings in each state where credentialed and practicing.
- Communicate with the team and recommend improvements to patient experience and care.
