Requirements
- Bring 6+ years of software development experience, including significant full-stack work.
- Have experience building complex, stateful editor-style web applications, such as design tools, page builders, or rich-text or canvas editors.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in TypeScript and a modern frontend framework; Vue 3 is preferred.
- Understand frontend reactivity, state management, performance tuning, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, the DOM, browser storage, rendering performance, and profiling.
- Have solid backend experience with PHP/Laravel or a comparable framework, plus MySQL.
- Understand distributed-systems concepts such as consistency, idempotency, ordering, and failure handling.
- Have production experience with realtime systems such as WebSockets, presence, and reconnection.
- Have expertise in RESTful APIs, TDD, and CI/CD, including GitHub Actions.
- Use coding agents and AI tools in your workflow, with the judgment to review, test, and own their output.
- Bring strong problem-solving skills, written communication, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across the Vue 3 and TypeScript editor, including the canvas, attribute panels, undo/redo, selection, modules and locks, and translations.
- Evolve and scale the multi-user editing engine using CRDTs, WebSockets, Cloudflare Workers, and Durable Objects.
- Harden collaboration against reconnects, stale clients, and partial failures.
- Extend the structured document format and the pipeline that produces email and landing-page HTML.
- Partner with the AI team so agents can edit designs through the same operations and sync model as people.
- Develop and maintain Laravel (PHP) APIs and persistence for the editor.
- Instrument, monitor, and safely roll out changes with feature flags; debug issues from the browser through the edge to the database.
- Lead design and code reviews, document architectural decisions, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps.
