Requirements
- Have excellent SQL skills and hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data models in a modern data warehouse.
- Have practical experience using dbt to develop, test, document, and maintain data transformation workflows.
- Be proficient in Python and experienced in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines.
- Have experience integrating APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Understand modern data warehouse architectures and have experience with cloud-based solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Understand data quality principles, automated testing, validation, and monitoring.
- Be able to translate business requirements into reliable data models and clearly defined metrics.
- Be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable investigating root causes and taking ownership of technical challenges.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Be curious about AI-powered development tools and explore automation opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse models using SQL and dbt.
- Develop transformation workflows that turn raw data from multiple sources into analytics-ready datasets.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot pipelines and integrations for data from APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Implement automated tests, validations, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Document data models, pipelines, business definitions, and transformation logic.
- Define, implement, and standardize business metrics such as revenue, bookings, and churn.
- Work with analysts, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries, dbt models, and pipelines for performance, scalability, and efficient warehouse resource use.
