Requirements
- 8+ years of brand design experience for consumer products.
- Portfolio showing a brand you built or meaningfully evolved across product and marketing, including the reasoning behind the work.
- Experience taking brand strategy to an identity system and an identity system to shipped work.
- Experience working inside a product design team.
- Understanding of design systems, component thinking, and how brand works alongside UX.
- Expertise in Figma, including variables, components, and tokens.
- Fluency in a motion tool such as After Effects or Rive.
- Comfort using code to prototype brand moments and discuss tokens, transitions, and haptics with engineers.
- Ability to explain the reasoning behind brand decisions to non-designers.
- Experience using AI tools to explore directions, test variations, and design supporting brand surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the Consumer brand into a complete identity system spanning visual language, voice and tone, motion, illustration, photography, and guiding principles.
- Partner with product designers to apply the brand to onboarding, empty states, celebrations, loyalty moments, transitions, sound, and haptics.
- Own the expressive layer of the product design system, including type, color, motion, and illustration.
- Set creative direction for launch campaigns, paid and social, lifecycle email and push, app store, and partner moments.
- Partner with marketing, growth, and content teams to align brand storytelling across product and campaigns.
- Build templates and toolkits that help marketing and growth teams execute.
- Define how the Consumer brand appears on restaurant surfaces, including POS, handhelds, kiosks, receipts, and host stands.
- Raise work quality through critique, pairing, and hands-on design execution.
- Take concepts from sketches through shipped, pixel-perfect execution in Figma, motion tools, or code.
