Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or have equivalent professional experience.
- Have at least four years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including enterprise SAP customizations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of ABAP programming and SAP development practices.
- Understand at least one SAP functional module; practical SAP Sales and Distribution experience is strongly preferred.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementations in collaboration with SAP functional consultants.
- Have practical experience with SAP data extraction and integration technologies, including ODP, CDS Views, and OData.
- Understand SAP ERP data structures, tables, relationships, and enterprise business data.
- Have experience developing or supporting SAP interfaces and integrations with external applications or enterprise systems.
- Have strong SQL skills and understanding of data movement, transformation, and pipeline reliability.
- Bring analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to investigate complex SAP issues independently.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, and maintain SAP solutions using ABAP, including custom reports, workflows, enhancements, and interfaces.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions, particularly for SAP Sales and Distribution processes and related workflows.
- Design, develop, and maintain data extraction and integration pipelines using ODP, CDS Views, and OData.
- Support SAP data integration into the enterprise data ecosystem using SAP Datasphere and cloud-based data platforms.
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, data engineers, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver solutions and resolve issues.
- Investigate SAP technical issues, identify root causes, implement solutions, and document findings.
- Improve internal SAP expertise and development and integration practices to reduce reliance on external partners.
- Contribute to SAP data workflows and integrations while developing expertise in SQL, Python, AWS, and data engineering technologies.
- Identify improvements to SAP data accessibility, integration reliability, technical documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
