Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Have 3+ years of experience in support administration, specifically with Azure Cloud.
- Have experience with automation using PowerShell, Bicep, and CI/CD practices.
- Have experience with network platforms, firewalls, VPNs, policy management, load balancing, and policy-based routing.
- Be able to configure and administer Azure Site Recovery and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Know ITIL best practices for incident and problem management.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present technical information to clients.
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving, root-cause analysis, knowledge development, and process creation.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hyper-V and VMware experience is preferred.
- AZ-104 is preferred; obtain it within 90 days of employment if not already held.
- Be able to pass a US Public Trust background check.
Responsibilities
- Manage network platforms, firewalls, VPNs, policy-based routing, and load balancing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority incidents as an escalation point, following ITIL best practices.
- Manage service requests according to change management procedures and resolve customer Azure infrastructure incidents.
- Install, configure, and administer customer systems in Azure.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, best practices, customer runbooks, and automation documentation.
- Configure monitoring and alerting for physical and virtual infrastructure and maintain its components.
- Perform quality assurance checks on migrated and greenfield environments.
- Apply compliance frameworks and internal security best practices.
- Administer Windows and Linux servers and configure Hyper-V and VMware hypervisors.
- Develop Bicep infrastructure templates and implement scripting and CI/CD automation; participate in an on-call rotation.
