Requirements
- Strong experience in Go or Java.
- Experience as a software engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity.
- 5+ years designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in a high-availability SaaS environment.
- Secure coding experience, such as OWASP.
- Experience building production applications in AWS cloud environments, with emphasis on security best practices.
- Professional experience shipping frontend features using TypeScript in a modern JavaScript framework.
- Familiarity with scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms.
- Familiarity with WebSockets, real-time messaging systems such as Kafka or MQTT, non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, networking, and DevOps.
- Leadership skills in coaching and mentoring more junior engineers.
- Experience building desktop or cross-platform applications is a plus.
- Experience with software running on customer endpoints across macOS, Windows, or Linux is a plus.
- Experience writing automated end-to-end tests using Python, Playwright, or similar is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and secure solutions that facilitate communications with deployed Automox software agents.
- Own features and services end to end, from technical design through release and production operation, including the UI.
- Champion secure coding and modern software development practices across engineering.
- Extend and evolve event-driven services in the Automox platform and endpoint software.
- Test, tune performance, refactor, improve usability, and automate engineering workflows.
- Produce detailed specifications and contribute throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Partner with Product, Program Management, QE, and Technical Support to turn ambiguous problems into deliverable work.
- Use data to assess the impact of development before it reaches production.
