Requirements
- Previous medical billing experience.
- Experience using NextGen Billing.
- Understanding of Medicare Advantage billing and coding.
- Familiarity with G-codes and CPT II codes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and training.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple billing tasks efficiently.
- USB headset with noise-cancellation feature.
- Working webcam.
- Computer with at least a 1.8 GHz processor and 4 GB RAM.
- Main internet connection of at least 25 Mbps cable and backup internet connection of at least 10 Mbps.
Responsibilities
- Handle charge entry, coding, and claim submission.
- Process claims accurately and on time in compliance with billing regulations and payer requirements.
- Maintain billing records and documentation for submitted claims.
- Post payments and reconcile billing transactions.
- Work denials and follow up with insurance providers to resolve outstanding claims.
- Investigate claim rejections and coordinate corrective actions for resubmission.
- Handle patient statements and other billing-cycle work.
- Address billing inquiries and assist with account-related concerns.
- Support revenue-cycle processes, collections, and accurate account management.
