Requirements
- Have 8+ years of related experience.
- Have technical training, certification(s), or a degree.
- Hold the ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator certification.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM, including SAM and HAM.
- Have expertise designing, implementing, and optimizing SAM, HAM, and CSDM structures.
- Have experience with full-cycle SAM and/or HAM implementations.
- Understand software licensing metrics and hardware asset lifecycles from procurement through disposal.
- Have experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
- Be proficient in JavaScript, AngularJS, JSON, and REST/SOAP web services.
- Have experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Performance Analytics.
- Have experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM or ITOM.
- Understand Agile software testing from smoke testing through integration and production deployment.
- Be able to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, document functionality, and produce estimates and basic deployment plans.
- Be able to pass a background check to obtain a Public Trust position.
Responsibilities
- Architect and automate enterprise IT Asset Management and CMDB capabilities.
- Design and configure SAM and HAM workflows, including license entitlements, software models, normalization, reclamation, and lifecycle management.
- Align platform architecture with CSDM and maintain CMDB health through Data Certification, Discovery, Reconciliation, and Health Assessments.
- Build scripts, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer workflows, and Service Portal widgets for ITAM operations.
- Design ServiceNow integrations with external data sources using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server configurations.
- Establish hardware and software asset data governance policies for audit readiness and licensing compliance.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide API, business rules, client scripts, and Flow Designer.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and maintain technical and functional documentation; support platform upgrades, testing, and reconfiguration.
- Estimate development effort, create basic deployment plans, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Contribute to technical process reviews, postmortems, and continuous process improvement.
