Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Have very good knowledge of MySQL, including database design.
- Have experience with Oracle.
- Have experience with AWS, particularly Amazon RDS.
- Have experience reviewing SQL code.
- Be able to script and automate using Bash, Python, or similar.
- Have very good English.
- Have strong technical documentation skills.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work under time pressure.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including with management.
- PostgreSQL, Datadog or similar performance monitoring tools, MySQL or AWS certification, and data privacy regulations are nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Design database structures and backup strategies.
- Automate scaling and recovery processes.
- Optimize SQL queries with development teams.
- Monitor and tune database performance.
- Conduct security audits.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Lead architectural discussions.
