Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting OpenStack in production.
- Experience managing Kubernetes infrastructure at scale, ideally in bare-metal or private cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and storage technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, infrastructure-as-code practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, availability, and performance issues.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture, operational reliability, and scalable system design.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security practices, including access controls, network policies, and workload isolation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical responsibilities.
- Ability to work remotely from within Australia.
- Eligibility to work in Australia without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Nice to have: experience integrating Kubernetes with OpenStack, or exposure to GPU infrastructure, HPC, or large-scale compute platforms.
- Nice to have: familiarity with advanced networking technologies, cloud-native ecosystems, or open-source infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, operate, and maintain production OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
- Build and improve infrastructure-as-code solutions and GitOps workflows.
- Optimize workload scheduling and resource utilization using Kubernetes and NVIDIA tooling.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems.
- Lead incident response, troubleshoot infrastructure failures, identify root causes, and implement reliability improvements.
- Maintain security controls, including role-based access control, network policies, and tenant isolation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and scale infrastructure systems.
- Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, AI, Product, and Support teams on infrastructure requirements.
