Requirements

  • Have 7+ years of experience in SRE or infrastructure engineering.
  • Have experience leading a team or acting as a technical lead with broad ownership of production systems.
  • Have strong production Linux fundamentals and a structured approach to debugging complex systems.
  • Understand networking fundamentals and network failure modes, including control plane versus data plane, latency, loss, and failure domains.
  • Have hands-on experience operating and improving high-availability systems.
  • Be able to write and maintain software or automation; Go is common at the company, and Python is also welcome.
  • Have experience with modern infrastructure tooling such as IaC, CI/CD, or container platforms, and be comfortable automating operational workflows.
  • Be able to work independently in an early-stage environment and build processes and a team from scratch.
  • Be willing to remain hands-on while leading and growing a team.
  • Experience with high-throughput traffic processing, such as load balancers, tunneling/decap, or NAT64, is a bonus.
  • Low-level networking performance or debugging experience with eBPF/XDP, DPDK, perf/ftrace, or kernel networking internals is a bonus.
  • Experience with network-safe delivery pipelines, large-scale network observability or telemetry, or knowledge of the APAC network landscape is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own reliability goals for regional network services and critical paths, including SLIs, SLOs, availability targets, and error budgets.
  • Drive reliability improvements across the APAC network, including site readiness, inter-site connectivity, and operational standards for new data centers.
  • Own incident response, lead investigations and postmortems, and turn failures into durable fixes.
  • Establish regional on-call and incident management practices.
  • Build and evolve observability through actionable metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and faster debugging loops.
  • Design safer network change workflows using automation, CI/CD, test and staging environments, canarying, rollbacks, and auditability.
  • Work with network engineers and platform teams in APAC and Europe to embed operability into designs.
  • Hire, onboard, and mentor the region’s first SREs and set the engineering bar for the team.
  • Coordinate with European teams on handoffs and coverage across time zones.
