Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional web development experience, including 3 or more years of advanced Webflow experience.
- Experience with Webflow system architecture, reusable component libraries, and complex CMS implementations.
- Experience architecting component-based Webflow systems and relational content models for large websites or multi-site environments.
- Ability to hand over a structured website system to a non-technical marketing team for independent operation and maintenance.
- Practical experience with MCP and a production-deployed LLM integration or AI-agent workflow, including prompts, instructions, permissions, and safeguards.
- Strong working knowledge of Webflow and Figma, including translating Figma components and variables into scalable Webflow implementations.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React; familiarity with the Webflow Data API, webhooks, REST APIs, Git, and Node.js.
- Experience with Algolia or a comparable search platform; multi-index or federated search experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of web performance, WCAG accessibility standards, security, API key management, authentication, and data privacy.
- A portfolio of live projects demonstrating technical ownership of architecture, custom code, integrations, or AI-powered workflows.
- Fluency in English for internal and client communication.
- Experience with shared component libraries across multiple websites, Webflow Localization, GSAP, or Webflow Interactions is an advantage.
- Experience creating AI-agent skills for Claude or ChatGPT, or mentoring junior developers, is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain a reusable Webflow system across three websites, including components, design tokens, variables, naming conventions, and boundaries between native functionality and custom code.
- Review Figma components and variables with UI designers and translate design systems into efficient Webflow structures.
- Design and implement a relational CMS connecting products, ecosystems, integrations, use cases, personas, and resources across the websites.
- Configure Webflow's MCP server and establish AI-agent instructions, reusable skills, permissions, and safeguards.
- Define website integration requirements and review client-side implementations for performance, security, and reliability.
- Develop or oversee custom React components for interactive tools and implement cross-site Algolia search, including indexing, taxonomy, and relevance ranking.
- Establish governance and publishing workflows for marketing teams and AI agents, including review, approval, and release processes.
- Document architecture and workflows, and support training and handover so non-technical marketing teams can manage the websites.
- Review developers' work, provide technical guidance, and maintain standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
- Identify Webflow platform limitations and capabilities, make architectural trade-offs, and improve the system based on usage and requirements.
