Requirements
- Hold a relevant tertiary financial qualification: Bachelor of Commerce degree plus Honours.
- Hold a relevant professional qualification: CIMA or CA(SA).
- Have at least 2 years of post-qualified experience as a CA(SA) or CIMA.
- Demonstrate understanding of financial reporting, cash management, audit, and compliance.
- Have advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Have advanced Xero skills or experience with a similar accounting system.
- Have experience in integration/automation solutions.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Manage time effectively and prioritise and multitask.
- Work cross-functionally as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement financial plans aligned with organisational strategic objectives.
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Forecast and plan cash flow, manage cash reserves, and optimise working capital.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, tax laws, and BEE requirements.
- Communicate with investors, creditors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting at entity and business level.
- Take responsibility for annual external audits and the secretarial function.
- Manage taxation and BBBEE compliance, and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Manage the finance team.
