Requirements
- Significant experience owning software products end-to-end, with the judgment and independence expected of a Senior Product Manager.
- Strong 0→1 experience taking products or significant product areas from an unclear opportunity through discovery, validation, launch, and iteration.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and explain how you created clarity when the problem or solution was not obvious.
- Strong product judgment and ability to select which problems are worth solving.
- Experience working in greenfield, rapidly changing, or emerging domains with incomplete information and changing plans.
- Strong customer discovery skills, including uncovering underlying problems, context, and behavior.
- Analytical thinking that combines qualitative evidence, product data, market signals, and technical constraints.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including simplifying complex topics without oversimplifying them.
- Experience working closely with highly technical engineering teams and curiosity about the systems being built.
- Bias toward experimentation and learning, and comfort making decisions with imperfect information and revising them as evidence emerges.
- Hands-on use of modern AI tools and active exploration of how LLMs and agents affect products and product work.
Responsibilities
- Explore customer needs, usage data, technology shifts, competitive products, and market signals to identify problems worth solving.
- Structure broad or poorly understood opportunities into clear problems, hypotheses, assumptions, and experiments.
- Lead product development from an initial insight or hypothesis through a usable product.
- Test whether problems matter and proposed solutions create value, using evidence to decide whether to invest further or stop.
- Prioritize opportunities and determine what to pursue, defer, or deliberately not build.
- Run customer discovery, observe workflows, and uncover underlying motivations and constraints.
- Partner with engineering and design to shape solutions and explore technical possibilities and trade-offs.
- Define customer and business outcomes, measure success, and use evidence to guide decisions.
- Track product adoption and understand whether customers discover, repeatedly use, and get value from shipped products.
- Write product narratives, one-pagers, PRDs, and decision documents, and help shape Kimchi's product and market approach.
