Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of professional Java software development experience.
- At least 10 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience leading complex software delivery initiatives in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience managing geographically distributed engineering teams across time zones and cultures.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as JSF/MyFaces or React.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
- Knowledge of software architecture, enterprise integration patterns, microservices, event-driven architectures, and monolithic systems.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, automated testing, and release management.
- Experience managing projects aligned with CMMI Level 2 or higher.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global Java software development organization across engineering teams.
- Direct the design, development, modernization, and delivery of enterprise software.
- Guide engineering managers, technical leads, and individual contributors in geographically distributed teams.
- Align software delivery with customer commitments, business objectives, and technical standards.
- Manage concurrent development projects and competing delivery priorities.
- Establish and improve engineering processes, development standards, quality controls, and performance metrics.
- Address delivery bottlenecks, technical debt, and engineering challenges.
- Balance customer-driven commitments with product roadmap priorities and technology investments.
- Partner with R&D, Professional Services, QA, DevOps, IT, and other business functions.
