Requirements
- Be admitted to practice in Washington state.
- Have civil litigation experience.
- Demonstrate legal research skills.
- Demonstrate legal writing skills.
- Demonstrate oral communication skills.
- Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Be able to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters simultaneously.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
- Be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Take depositions and attend hearings and mediations as required.
- Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
- Draft discovery requests and responses.
- Review and analyze documents and materials for production.
- Investigate claims and prepare case-handling strategies.
- Report to insurance carrier clients and insureds.
- Prepare cases for trial or mediation and participate in trial or mediation.
