Requirements
- Have 2+ years managing organic social or community strategy, with a heavy emphasis on Reddit, or a demonstrated track record of growing other types of social accounts.
- Understand Reddit karma, subreddit dynamics, automods, shadowbans, and the platform’s unspoken rules.
- Write naturally for Redditors and understand how to adapt content to specific subreddit cultures.
- Understand how Reddit content feeds into Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO, and how to structure posts as lasting resources.
- Be able to handle pushback, skepticism, and tough questions in public threads with empathy and honesty.
- Ideally have experience in consumer tech, fintech, or insurtech.
Responsibilities
- Own Jerry’s official presence across Reddit, including brand-owned subreddits and organic engagement in broader automotive, financial, and consumer communities.
- Establish Jerry’s Reddit voice and determine when to provide technical advice, use memes, or observe without interrupting discussions.
- Create informative text posts, deep-dive guides, and visual breakdowns about car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance tactics for specific subreddit cultures.
- Respond to threads discussing Jerry with transparent, helpful responses and manage reputation and crisis situations.
- Track Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, and how Reddit discussions influence search indexability and LLM citations.
- Share Reddit insights, emerging car-owner pain points, and trending topics with Product and Content teams.
