Requirements
- Be fluent in spoken and written English and French.
- Have proficient knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and adapt to different dialects and accents.
- Have strong listening and comprehension skills.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Use a computer with an Intel Core i5 8th generation or newer, or Ryzen 5 3000 series or higher, with at least 4 cores / 8 threads, 8–16 GB RAM, and 256 GB SSD or larger.
- Use a wired Ethernet connection; VPN use is not allowed.
- Use a wired headset with a unidirectional, noise-canceling boom microphone; wireless devices, earbuds, and speakers are not allowed.
- Use a 1080p camera at 30–60 fps with autofocus.
- Do not store company information, make recordings, take screenshots, or use built-in translation features.
Responsibilities
- Provide verbal interpretation between patients and healthcare providers.
- Accurately interpret medical conversations, including patient history, diagnoses, treatment options, and instructions.
- Assist with translating medical documents and forms.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
- Stay up to date on medical terminology and procedures.
- Build rapport and establish trust with patients and healthcare professionals.
