Requirements

- 10+ years of industry experience.
- 2–5+ years of engineering management experience.
- Track record of delivering large-scale, secure, and reliable systems.
- Experience leading technical strategy and building scalable engineering, data, or machine learning systems.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language, such as Java, Python, Go, or Ruby.
- Demonstrated ability to hire and retain engineering talent.
- Experience setting multi-year strategies and aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with cross-functional teams.
- AI/ML team leadership and delivery of AI-powered solutions is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute technical strategy for the team’s initiatives.
- Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team.
- Partner with product, data science, design, business, and engineering teams to develop scalable solutions.
- Lead end-to-end project execution across the software development lifecycle.
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and partners.
- Champion reliability, scalability, incident response, and operational readiness.
- Work with global counterparts to align the India team’s initiatives with broader goals.
- Guide development of AI-powered solutions for Airbnb’s supply growth platform.
