Job Details

Have solid experience with at least one programming language; Go is used, and familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar languages translates well.
Have experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and idea development through shipping a product to customers.
Have experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience with systems engineering.
Write clean, robust, performant software that is maintainable by others.
Experience writing low-level code for databases, storage layers, or query engines is a bonus.
Experience working with Kubernetes is a bonus.
Experience using Grafana or Prometheus in operational roles or personal projects is a bonus.
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or a desire to learn, is a bonus.
Familiarity with on-call work, operations/SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code is a bonus.

Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning their reliability, performance, and availability.
Work with the team to deliver new features and use the results to iterate and improve.
Drive projects from initial ideation through operations after they reach customers.
Contribute to open-source projects, including projects beyond the team’s direct scope.
Participate in team on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you run.
Mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the team.
Develop a deeper understanding of the cloud product, customers, and large distributed-system codebase.
