Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of experience architecting and building enterprise GIS systems or spatial data platforms.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of PostgreSQL and PostGIS, including spatial indexing, performance tuning, and advanced queries.
- Have experience designing and implementing multi-tenant or customer-segregated data models.
- Be familiar with GIS data formats including Shapefiles, GeoJSON, GML, and KML, and with data transformation workflows.
- Have solid experience with QGIS or similar GIS desktop tools and understand how they interface with spatial databases.
- Understand spatial reference systems, projections, and coordinate transformations.
- Have working knowledge of ETL processes for GIS data acquisition from public agencies or government portals.
- Have experience integrating GIS data with APIs, web-based viewers, or enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of GIS frameworks or libraries such as GeoServer, MapServer, GDAL/OGR, or FME is a nice to have.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, open-source GIS stack deployments, or standards for utilities or municipal infrastructure GIS systems is a nice to have.
