Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bring hands-on experience building and maintaining delivery pipelines, infrastructure automation, and shared platform services for high-availability systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to improve environment stability, deployment safety, and configuration consistency.
- Have experience implementing monitoring and alerting for incident response and production operations.
- Have experience working with AWS and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Have strong automation skills to eliminate recurring operational work.
- Be able to independently deliver platform improvements with measurable impact on reliability and developer productivity.
- Have experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and designing and implementing golden-path delivery.
- Have a solid understanding of Datadog, GitLab, and FedRAMP-authorized toolchains.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 4 / High Risk Public Trust determination.
- Terraform-based golden-path or IaC module design experience in a federal or regulated environment is nice to have.
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools for boilerplate or IaC generation is nice to have.
- Prior federal or large-scale enterprise platform engineering experience is nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform templates supporting the engineering platform.
- Implement and maintain Datadog observability, including instrumentation, alerting, and service-level objectives.
- Support environment automation and golden-path delivery.
- Improve environment stability, deployment safety, and configuration consistency across agency services.
- Implement monitoring and alerting to support incident response and production operations.
- Automate recurring operational work to improve team velocity.
- Deliver platform improvements with measurable impact on reliability and developer productivity.
- Participate in two-week sprints, backlog refinement, and architecture reviews with the Platform Enablement team.
