Have at least 3 years of backend development experience with Python or Scala.
Have 2–3 years of practical AWS experience, particularly with Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, EventBridge Pipes, DynamoDB, and S3.
Have practical experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Be familiar with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, including data modeling and efficient query development.
Have experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Apply software engineering practices including unit and integration testing, code review, and Git.
Have experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation.
Have very good spoken and written English.
Scala experience is an advantage; Kotlin or Java experience is also valued.
Familiarity with observability tools such as CloudWatch or X-Ray is an advantage.
Experience with HL IT products or the container transport industry is an additional advantage.

Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs running on AWS.
Build serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
Implement event-driven architecture using SQS and EventBridge.
Write readable, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Collaborate with Product Owners, front-end developers, and architects to deliver new features.
Monitor production services and diagnose problems.
Improve existing services for performance and maintainability.
