Job Details

Hold an advanced degree in a relevant scientific, medical or health discipline.
Be able to read, interrogate and summarise primary oncology literature.
Be able to engage credibly with practising oncologists and researchers.
Have demonstrated experience leading a team and a track record of hiring well.
Have experience building something from an early stage into something larger.
Demonstrate judgment under ambiguity when stakes are high and evidence is incomplete.
Have exceptional communication skills, including the ability to translate complex science into language families can act on.
Show deep personal commitment to patients.
Direct experience in oncology, precision medicine, clinical research or patient navigation is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with expanded access, Right to Try and trial pathways is strongly preferred.
Experience operating within or alongside a philanthropic funder is strongly preferred.
An existing network across oncology, research or patient advocacy is strongly preferred.

Set and own FCCT’s strategy, including its three-year direction.
Lead and grow the team, including the Patient Navigation function.
Own standards for case research, resource vetting and review of materials.
Maintain FCCT’s boundary outside the clinical relationship.
Extend playbooks, the resource directory and self-serve tools to reach more families.
Build external relationships with clinicians, researchers, diagnostics and therapeutics companies, patient advocacy organisations and peer foundations.
Partner with the Sijbrandij Foundation’s CEO on budget, impact, risk and need.
