Requirements
- Have 5+ years of legal expertise in areas relevant to the industry.
- Bring experience in areas such as accounting, international taxation, corporate law, or financial partnerships.
- Have experience working in a law firm, startup, or financial services industry.
- Have strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Be comfortable working with international regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Be able to lead projects that identify and assess legal risks and develop mitigation strategies and processes.
- Have an interest in global expansion, assessing associated risks, and establishing compliant operating processes.
- Spanish legal experience is a bonus, but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Define legal requirements for products as they develop and strengthen existing legal frameworks.
- Support expansion into new markets.
- Advise operational teams on servicing clients across markets and products in the internal portfolio.
- Monitor relevant upcoming regulatory and legal developments beyond the product scope.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including partnership agreements, policies, and vendor agreements.
- Advise AML and GDPR teams on interpreting relevant guidance.
- Help implement and improve internal processes and risk management procedures.
- Establish legal processes for contract management, compliance tracking, and due diligence.
- Work with Operations, Growth, Product, and Engineering teams.
