Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics management.
- Experience managing domestic European and international freight operations.
- Experience with LTL/FTL and air freight shipments, carrier and freight forwarder relationships, and 3PL coordination.
- Understanding of EU customs regulations, import/export procedures, and cross-border trade compliance within Europe and with non-EU countries.
- Hands-on experience with RMA/RMS shipment processes and reverse logistics flows.
- Familiarity with TMS platforms, Jira, or similar shipment tracking and documentation systems.
- Experience managing large, heavy, or high-value freight, such as server racks and IT infrastructure equipment, is strongly preferred.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills, with accuracy and completeness.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including cross-functional work with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to operate independently in a remote environment.
- Based in Europe; Amsterdam preferred, with other EU locations considered.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages are an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end transport of IT hardware across domestic European, international, and Israel-related lanes.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including air freight scheduling, carrier selection, booking, and delivery execution.
- Handle RMA and RMS shipments with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Manage equipment transfers between warehouses and data center facilities across Europe.
- Track active shipments, resolve transit issues, and develop contingency plans and alternative routes.
- Maintain in-transit inventory records, chain-of-custody documentation, and shipment records in Jira, a TMS, or equivalent systems.
- Manage customs documentation, clearance, VAT, duties, and declarations for cross-border shipments.
- Establish and monitor service levels and performance metrics with carriers, forwarders, and 3PL partners.
- Coordinate logistics with data center operations, hardware engineering, procurement, finance, suppliers, and teams in Israel.
- Forecast transport demand, track logistics costs, identify savings opportunities, and report through dashboards and operational analytics.
