Requirements
- Have experience as a product manager on a technical or developer-facing product, ideally pre- or early product-market fit.
- Be able to give examples of changing or stopping a product direction based on customer and technical evidence you gathered yourself.
- Have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, the command line, packages, and dependencies.
- Be comfortable using a terminal and building with AI-assisted tools.
- Bring strong customer research and data analysis skills, including the ability to build useful measurement from limited reliable data.
- Communicate clearly and directly with designers, engineers, and leadership.
- Work effectively in a remote, low-process team.
- Form independent views on technical claims and product metrics, and change your mind when evidence warrants it.
Responsibilities
- Run customer discovery through interviews, observed usage, support and event feedback, and hands-on product use.
- Work with Growth and Product Marketing to recommend customer and problem focus using evidence about who uses and pays for the product, and why.
- Shape product work with the Senior Product Designer from early discovery through testing, owning the problem and intended outcome.
- Agree outcomes and priorities with engineering squads and help turn validated problems into work.
- Build and ship small prototypes, experiments, and product changes when that is the fastest way to learn.
- Own product measurement in PostHog by defining important actions and getting tracking in place.
- Combine product data with customer evidence to explain what is working.
- Document learnings, decisions, and assumptions in Notion to support investment decisions.
- Raise risks, gaps, and decisions early, and escalate matters beyond your remit.
