Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of 3–5+ years of payroll and benefits management experience.
- Experience with benefits administration and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour rules and garnishments.
- Strong understanding of payroll and benefits workflows and best practices.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify data inconsistencies.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- High degree of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Experience supporting a workforce of approximately 300–500 employees is strongly preferred.
- UKG or large-scale HRIS experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process accurate, timely biweekly payroll for approximately 400 employees across multiple states and entities.
- Manage pay calculations, timesheet approvals, off-cycle payments, payroll inquiries, and payroll reporting.
- Oversee benefits eligibility, enrollments, changes, terminations, employee questions, and Open Enrollment.
- Reconcile benefits invoices and ensure benefits deductions and corrections align with payroll.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready HRIS data and audit alignment across HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
- Maintain compliance with payroll, wage-and-hour, and benefits regulations; manage garnishments and government inquiries.
- Oversee pay and benefits administration for leaves of absence and time off.
- Partner with HR, AP, Finance, and Accounting on payroll data, general ledger mapping, and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll and benefits processes.
