Requirements
- Have strong backend engineering fundamentals.
- Have hands-on experience with Java and Spring, including Boot, MVC, Security, and Data.
- Have experience designing and operating distributed services on AWS.
- Use a structured approach to problem analysis, understanding systems, tradeoffs, and downstream risks.
- Work autonomously, drive tasks to completion, and surface blockers early.
- Explain technical positions clearly to engineering, product, and risk stakeholders.
- Have experience building systems where reliability and security are first-class concerns.
- Experience in financial services, payments, or regulated domains is a plus.
- Experience with credit, lending, or financial products is a plus.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka is a plus.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention, risk scoring, or compliance patterns is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services supporting credit origination, analysis, disbursement, and repayment.
- Build services that support customer experience across the credit journey.
- Model edge cases, assess failure modes, and build controls to protect customers and the business.
- Write production-grade Java and Spring services on AWS, emphasizing observability, fault tolerance, and security.
- Participate in architecture reviews, RFCs, and incident retrospectives.
- Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable software with product, data, and risk teams.
- Mentor peers through code reviews and technical discussions.
