Requirements
- Have a minimum of 3–5 years of experience, preferably in a high-growth startup.
- Hold a strong quantitative undergraduate degree; an MBA is a nice-to-have.
- Think in systems and build reliable processes that automate repetitive work.
- Be comfortable with financial modeling, intermediate statistical analysis, reviewing vendor methodologies, and transforming raw data.
- Have SQL experience; analytics engineering experience is a nice-to-have.
- Use AI to improve efficiency while understanding its limitations and not substituting it for independent thinking.
- Learn unfamiliar domains quickly and apply rules such as accounting principles to day-to-day problems.
- Manage vendors, build strong relationships, and hold them accountable when needed.
- Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and balance multiple workstreams.
- Be based in the US, Canada, or UK.
- Be willing to take on work of any size.
Responsibilities
- Lead analytical projects that change how the business is understood, including defining ARR, evaluating the sales and marketing funnel, and examining relationships between product initiatives and expansion or churn.
- Own a traditional finance domain such as Accounting or Tax.
- Manage operational work and external experts, and evaluate the health of the finance operation.
- Automate workflows to reduce manual effort in operational and compliance processes.
- Lead cross-functional projects to address operational problems.
