Requirements
- Have 8+ years of combined experience in product management, data science, or data analytics, including at least 4 years managing data products or data platforms.
- Have a background in data science, analytics, or a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, or computer science.
- Demonstrate root cause analysis of complex data issues, from identifying anomalies to shipping fixes.
- Understand modern data stack concepts, including pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data modeling, and data quality tooling.
- Have experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar data warehouses.
- Have experience working closely with data engineers and data scientists, with technical depth to challenge assumptions.
- Be able to turn ambiguous data problems into clear priorities and actionable product plans.
- Have experience in a fast-moving B2B SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the data platform strategy and roadmap, including ingestion, data models, data quality, and delivery.
- Lead root cause analysis of data quality issues, anomalies, and metric discrepancies, and work with engineering on lasting fixes.
- Define data quality standards, SLAs, and monitoring.
- Partner with data engineering and data science to scope technical requirements, assess tradeoffs, and prioritize the backlog.
- Translate internal data users' and multifamily operators' needs into platform requirements.
- Define and track platform health, adoption, and business impact metrics.
- Evaluate data sources, vendors, and partnerships to expand market intelligence.
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
