Job Details

Have shipped an LLM-powered feature to production that real users or real money depend on.
Set up evaluations before rollout, versioned prompts and models, and planned for rollback.
Have designed or substantially refactored a business-critical system, such as payments or claims, without breaking it.
Have taken ownership of a complex system built by someone else.
Have made model cost and quality tradeoffs and demonstrated with numbers that quality held.
Use coding agents and AI review tools regularly to improve shipping speed without lowering quality.
Have strong Python skills.
Django experience is a plus.
TypeScript experience is a plus.
Be able to work at least 6 hours overlapping with US Eastern Time.

Learn the claims automation pipeline in depth and become a core owner, reviewing and shipping changes independently.
Reduce the cost of processing each claim by routing work to appropriate models while maintaining current accuracy.
Restructure the pipeline so each stage can be changed, tested, and rolled out independently.
Use evaluations to gate pipeline changes.
Ship automation that allows more claims to be resolved without manual review.
Partner with Product to decide what to build next.
Use AI to read veterinary records and improve coverage decisions across more claim types.
