Requirements
- Bring extensive professional data engineering experience and a proven track record designing end-to-end data systems.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in SQL and Python.
- Have experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Have experience with data transformation tools such as dbt.
- Have practical experience building and operating batch or streaming pipelines.
- Have experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Write clear technical specifications and explain complex trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Preferred, but not required: experience with streaming architectures, infrastructure-as-code, or high-growth health-tech environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines, transformation layers, and data products with clear documentation.
- Define best practices for testing, data modeling, CI/CD pipelines, and data quality frameworks.
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, and product engineering to translate business goals into technical designs.
- Monitor pipeline health and optimize data infrastructure for reliability and performance.
- Support team growth through code reviews, technical pairing, and knowledge sharing.
