Requirements
- Familiarity with DME and medical supplies.
- Experience in RCM, billing, or insurance verification.
- Clear, professional spoken English and confidence on the phone.
- Excellent written communication.
- High attention to detail and strong organization.
- Ability to prioritize work with urgency and follow tasks through to completion.
- Ability to work independently and manage time in a remote environment.
- Prior authorization experience is strongly preferred.
- Healthcare background or call center/customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage orders, including insurance coverage details, documentation requirements, and stock shortages.
- Track prior authorization requests and follow up until they are resolved.
- Call partner companies to confirm details, resolve issues, and unblock orders.
- Occasionally reach out to providers and communicate with nurses and doctors through the provider portal.
- Identify order and billing issues that could cause denials or delays, and flag them early.
- Document each interaction and outcome so teammates can continue the work.
- Meet volume and accuracy targets, follow set guidelines, and escalate exceptions.
