Have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
Have at least 3 years in an architect, principal engineer, or technical leadership position.
Maintain current hands-on coding ability, including reviewing pull requests, prototyping, and contributing to complex technical work.
Have experience with AI-powered engineering and AI adoption within the software development lifecycle, including modern AI and agent capabilities.
Have experience designing distributed, cloud-native, scalable systems.
Have product ownership experience from problem definition through launch and subsequent iteration using user feedback and performance metrics.
Have strong hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and Next.js.
Have strong knowledge of Python for scripting, data processing, backend services, or related applications.
Have experience working directly with clients or executives on project scope, budgets, technical trade-offs, and delivery expectations.
Have strong business judgment and explain how technical decisions affect cost, timelines, risk, and revenue.
Have experience estimating and scoping software projects.
Have excellent written and spoken English.
Be available to work within the PST time zone.
Have previous experience working effectively within remote, distributed teams.

Share ownership of technical strategy, architectural standards, engineering priorities, and technology direction.
Own technical and product roadmaps for internal products, prioritizing initiatives according to user needs and business value.
Challenge client project requirements and prioritize work that delivers business outcomes.
Design solution architectures for client projects and internal products from discovery through delivery.
Participate in sales and pre-sales discussions, scope projects, estimate effort, and translate business goals into technical plans.
Review architectural decisions across engineering teams and support critical or high-risk technical problems.
Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, technology choices, and AI adoption based on cost, risk, scalability, and expected return on investment.
Represent engineering in discussions with executive leaders and client stakeholders.
Mentor tech leads and senior engineers and raise standards for code quality, security, architecture, and delivery practices.
Contribute through code reviews, prototypes, technical investigations, and hands-on problem-solving.
