Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
- Bring significant hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining production infrastructure on AWS.
- Have experience designing, operating, and improving CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI or another major CI/CD platform; CircleCI is strongly preferred.
- Have strong knowledge of Docker and containerized application environments, including production workloads.
- Have solid foundations in Linux administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, and security principles.
- Have practical experience applying SRE methodologies, including monitoring, alerting, incident management, root-cause analysis, and capacity planning.
- Have hands-on experience with an observability platform such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Grafana Cloud, or Splunk; Datadog is strongly preferred.
- Be able to design monitoring and alerting systems that improve visibility, reduce alert fatigue, and support incident response.
- Have experience managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.
- Be able to collaborate with application engineering teams on infrastructure practices, deployment workflows, and production readiness.
- Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Be willing and able to work approximately 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. IST, Monday through Friday, to overlap with U.S. business hours.
Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and improve AWS cloud infrastructure for secure, scalable, reliable, observable, and cost-efficient production services.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and related technologies.
- Build and maintain observability solutions covering metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts.
- Apply SRE principles to service availability, performance, capacity planning, incident response, and system resilience.
- Lead incident investigations, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Establish monitoring and alerting practices that reduce unnecessary notifications and support clear service ownership.
- Identify and implement cloud cost optimizations while balancing cost, reliability, performance, and productivity.
- Collaborate with application developers and engineering stakeholders on infrastructure standards and delivery workflows.
- Contribute practical recommendations and documentation to engineering-wide technical decisions.
