Requirements
- Have hands-on experience operating a cloud analytical data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
- Have experience with access-control design, data masking and governance, compute management, and cost optimization.
- Have experience building and operating containerized applications, including Docker image management.
- Have experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Have experience with deployment automation and production rollout practices.
- Have experience building internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure.
- Be comfortable with REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhook ingestion, secrets management, egress networking, and identity/SSO patterns.
- Be proficient in Python and SQL.
- Demonstrate operational ownership, including instrumentation, runbooks, alert ownership, and root-cause analysis.
- Have familiarity with or interest in semantic-layer design, LLM-integrated workflows, and agentic data tools.
- Have strong written and verbal communication and be effective collaborating across application, security, infrastructure, and platform teams.
- Have a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform features for provisioning, deployment, access control, service lifecycle management, and reliability.
- Build and maintain integrations with CI/CD pipelines, identity and secrets management, external APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Design and operate secure data access patterns, including RBAC, managed-access schemas, data masking, secure views, and cross-database grants.
- Automate recurring support tasks such as access provisioning, pipeline failure response, service health management, and secrets management.
- Build telemetry, alerting, and logging infrastructure; establish runbooks and operational practices.
- Participate in on-call coverage, triage production incidents, and perform platform maintenance.
- Help design and build semantic-layer infrastructure, agentic application patterns, and AI-native data tooling.
- Set engineering standards through code review, design, operational readiness, and incident follow-through.
