Requirements
- Have a minimum of 18 months of information technology or information security experience.
- Hold a professional cybersecurity certification, such as ISC2 CISSP or a GIAC certification, or be able to obtain the certification within six months of hire.
- Be able to travel up to 5% for JHA meetings, training, and/or professional conferences.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review logs and perform forensic analysis to identify unauthorized or unacceptable access to data or systems.
- Use tools and documented processes to determine appropriate actions.
- Respond to security alerts and issues, escalating them as appropriate.
- Research, recommend, develop, and implement changes to enhance system and data security.
- Develop blocking or detection rules for tactics, techniques, and procedures identified through purple team or threat-hunting activities.
- Troubleshoot and support cybersecurity-related issues.
- Resolve escalated security cases.
- Support cybersecurity-related projects and document work and process improvements.
- Assist less experienced team members.
