Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bring strong commercial experience with Swift.
- Have experience building and shipping native macOS applications.
- Have strong knowledge of SwiftUI and AppKit.
- Be familiar with Cocoa, Foundation, and Combine frameworks.
- Have experience with Swift concurrency, including async/await and structured concurrency.
- Have strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to design maintainable, scalable software architectures.
- Have experience delivering production-quality features throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Understand Objective-C and its interoperability with modern Swift code.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- C++ or Objective-C++ experience is preferred, including Swift–C++ interoperability.
- Experience with client-server or distributed applications, automated testing, Git, Jira, Confluence, commercial desktop applications, or legacy-code modernization is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality native macOS experiences using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Design, develop, and ship new features for Parallels Desktop.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and fellow engineers.
- Translate product requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Improve and modernize existing functionality through refactoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting product quality and customer experience.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
- Review code, mentor teammates, and help raise engineering standards.
- Improve development processes, tooling, and code quality.
