Have 5 or more years of backend development experience.
Build scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Groovy.
Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs, including defining API contracts.
Have experience with event-based systems, particularly Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Have experience with AWS cloud services, particularly containerized microservices or event-driven systems.
Have experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging or event-streaming platforms.
Have experience integrating enterprise platforms using MuleSoft or similar integration technologies.
Have experience with MongoDB or enterprise databases.
Be located in the United States or Puerto Rico and able to work remotely with access to high-speed internet.
Preferred: experience with React, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, CI/CD, or AI agentic-driven software development.

Lead end-to-end development, testing, and integration of applications and systems for Group Financial Systems.
Develop high-performance applications, APIs, and data solutions.
Contribute to application and system development, testing, maintenance, and integration.
Build unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Spock.
Assess and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with team members and external vendors on technical efforts.
Evaluate options and performance tradeoffs.
